Working at John Deere

Why John Deere? Why Anywhere Else?

At John Deere, over 50,000 people have taken the leap. The leap to achievement. The leap to learning. The leap to high-performance teamwork. The leap to being valued as a contributor, an employee, a person. These are John Deere employees who, today, help develop, produce, market, and support quality machinery and services worldwide. They understand and embrace the core values of integrity, quality, commitment, and innovation. And they are recognized and rewarded for their contributions.

Products and services

We manufacture, distribute, and finance a complete line of equipment used in agriculture, construction, forestry, and turf care. We also manufacture engines and other powertrain components for John Deere equipment and other manufacturers. And, we provide credit and other services to customers around the world.

Marketing

For many, their local John Deere dealership is John Deere. And it’s a worldwide network of independent dealers. We support those dealers through a marketing organization with offices in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the United States, Thailand, and Uruguay.

Manufacturing

You’ll find John Deere factories all around the world: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, India, Mexico, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and the United States. We also work with affiliated companies that produce John Deere products in the United States and South America.

Research and development

Our founder, John Deere, understood the value of research and development. History has shown that his company continued to invest heavily in new products and services, through good times and bad. So it is today. Investments are divided among support for current product improvements, new product development, and the search for new product-oriented businesses.

Visit a John Deere factory and, most likely, you’ll find a product engineering department. It’s responsible for the design and development of their factory’s products. In addition, the Moline Technology Innovation Center, Moline, Illinois also handles research and development activities.
