Statement pausing 2020 John Deere P3 Challenge (30 March 2020)   March 31, 2020

John Deere Sub-Saharan Africa puts opening rounds of 2020 John Deere P3 Challenge on hold

In support of South Africa’s efforts to limit transmission of the COVID-19 virus, John Deere SSA will be pausing current and near-future stages of the 2020 John Deere P3 Challenge. As part of national efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, John Deere SSA is officially postponing the March and April legs of the 2020 John Deere P3 Challenge in both Gauteng and the Western Cape. In recognition of the fluidity of the COVID-19 situation, John Deere SSA will announce its position on subsequent rounds of the event in accordance with government policy and global best practice in transmission management. We thank all participants and supporters of the annual John Deere P3 Challenge for their understanding. We also encourage all to adopt safe social distancing behaviour while cooperating fully with all efforts to eliminate the spread of COVID-19 as we look ahead to the resumption of our tournament in safer times. The par three, nine-hole John Deere P3 Challenge includes monthly tournaments hosted at the Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate and Bryanston Country Club in Gauteng as well as the Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate and Rondebosch Golf Club in the Western Cape. The winners get the opportunity to play in the John Deere Classic Pro-Am as well as attend the PGA John Deere Classic. Both are hosted at the TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, in the United States.

Believe in greater!
